Welcome to May! We hope you and your family are all safe and healthy during these times that can still be uncertain. There’s something to be said for how much this ordeal has brought people together, even though we’re asked to stay apart.

We thought we’d take this opportunity to give you an update on how your Greater Pittson urologist is making sure everyone from patient to employees stays safe. We have always followed standard universal precautions issued by the CDC to help protect every one of our patients and office staff from the many infectious diseases that we may be exposed to.

We’d like to remind of some helpful tips for you and your family to continue to stay healthy:

Tip #1 – Keep washing your hands. This is one of the most effective ways to ensure you’re free from any infectious diseases. Washing thoroughly for 20 seconds should do the trick. Keeping them clean often is essential. You can also use a hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol.

Tip #2 – Keep a safe distance from others whenever possible. We ask that when you come to the office for a visit, you should continue practice social distancing and minimize the number of people in our waiting room, please show up no earlier than 10 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment.

Tip #3 Do your best to clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces daily. We will be exercising a higher standard of infection-control in our waiting areas, including removing all magazines and other items that are difficult to disinfect.

Tip #4 – Remember to stay at home if you are sick. You don’t want to put others at risk. Your urologist in Greater Pittston wants to remind all patients that if you have a cough, fever, or chills, please call our office to reschedule. If you appear to be ill at the time of your appointment, you will be asked to reschedule at least three weeks later as a precaution.

We look forward to seeing you at your next appointment. We’re doing everything we can to continue to serve patients at this time and also protect the health of our staff. Instituting these higher standards is so important to keep us all safe. If you’re experiencing pain or discomfort, please don’t hesitate to call our urology office in Greater Pittston right away. We remain open to help take care of your needs and keep you feeling your best.
